El pasado 27 de febrero de 2007, se entregaron las solicitudes para la actividad de empleo de verano a través del Programa WIA en el Salón de Actividades del Complejo Recreativo y Cultural de La Guancha. En esta ocasión se entregaron 3,350 solicitudes. Este año participaron de la actividad de verano unos 720 jóvenes de los cuales 200 eran graduandos de las distintas escuelas superiores de Ponce. 
El pago de la actividad de verano se efectuara el día 20 de julio de 2007 en el Auditorio Juan Pachín Vícens de 8:00 am a 12:00 md. Para poder cobrar el cheque deberan llevar la tarjeta de seguro social y/o una identificación con foto. Para más información pueden comunicarse al (787) 840-2900 con la Unidad de Jóvenes.

Me gustaria saber el porque ustedes hacen las cosas mal,son injustos y crueles me refiero a que no saben elegir a las personas que verdaderamente necesitan de su ayuda,que economicamente son elegibles. y tienen empeño en trabajar por el pueblo y por que le gusta para ser mas claro es en cuanto a los elegidos de cadete de la poicia municipal de ponce, a un muchacho le digeron ustedes que se lo aprobaron que solo llevara un documento de evidencia de residencia y ya cogio el examen de ustedes salio con las caractericticas que requieren okey le dicen fue aprobado pues lo hacen coger examenes fisico,psicologico,entrevista, la investigacion salio limpio todo lo pasa excelente para que le mintieron le dicen que si y luego por sus pantaletas que no como es eso hicieron que el faltara a su trabajo, no duerma por que muchas veces el individuo hacia guardias y las citas eran en la mañana y perdia el dia para reponer horas de descanso eso llora ante los ojos de Dios ¿ cual seria entonces el motivo de no elegirlo a ultimo momento si ya se lo habian a probado? Expliquen eso y con un buen argumento. economicamente es elegible , la policia ya lo habia aceptado creo que algo raro anda hay uhuhuh, mucho papeleo,le hicieron gastar dinero imnecesariamente, le deberian pasar una factura por falsos. y resulta que ayer 6 de agosto de 2007 a ultima hora le dicen que ya escogieron los 50 cadetes, se perdieron a u buen ciudadano y ser humano que maldad eiste en ustedes me da verguenza que mi pais sea asi por algunos como ustedes. ustedes hacen chanchullos unas lenguas lo dicen. cuidaooo! algunos de los que seleccionaron no dan el grado que mal!!! ahahaha por eso es que estamos como estamos. revisen bien lo que hacen.ahah y para colmo no le avisaron si el no llega a ir el pobre no se entera y se queda espearando esperanzado. eso no se hace que bonitoooo!!!!.

Si, el escogido es algo injusto, les dan empleo de verano, a los hijos o familiares de ellos mismo, o de oficinas municipales y/o gubernamentales, ademas de que premian dandole prioridad al desertor escolar, al que tiene un bajo promedio, a las jovencitas que quedan embarazadas, y despues dicen que la juventud de PR anda en malos pasos, caramba si no les brindan la oportunidad, a los buenos jovenes que tienen un buen aprovechamiento academico.... Vean esoooo!
